Summer Cuisine of Northern Italy

Emilia-Romagna is a region situated in the northern part of Italy and is known as “The Food Valley”due to its high concentration of premium foods such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma and Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale (authentic balsamic vinegar). It is one of the largest regions of the country and the capital, Bologna, is especially wonderful in the summer. In this class you will learn to prepare Garganelli, one of the most loved pasta types of this region, prepared loaded with fresh seasonal vegetables and a luscious basil garlic butter sauce. You will also learn the techniques to prepare an easy Italian Roast Chicken. A beautiful and delicious Summer Strawberry Salad and Limoncello Tiramisu round out the menu of this celebration of a northern Italian summer. You will then dine in our lovely Vasto Room while enjoying a glass of our featured red or white wine from this region.

  • Italian Roasted Chicken
  • Garganelli with Seasonal Vegetables in a Buttery Basil Garlic Sauce
  • Spring Salad with Strawberries, Goat Cheese, and Poppyseed Dressing

  • A Glass of Red or White Wine from the Emilia-Romagna Region of Italy

 

TICKETS ARE PER PERSON. YOU NEED ONE TICKET FOR EACH PERSON ATTENDING.    All Carfagna’s Cooking Classes are hands-on and limited to a maximum of 12 adults. You will work with your friends or other guests in small groups sharing food preparation, equipment, and workspace while creating a 3 or 4 course meal. The class instruction lasts for approximately 2-2 1/2 hours, followed by dinner in our lovely “Vasto Room” or Piazza, as a shared buffet of your culinary creations. Plus, you will also be served a light appetizer, or dessert and glass of featured red or white wine. (Nonalcoholic options are also available). Guests each receive a Recipe Packet and a 10% off coupon for Carfagna’s Market (Not honored in Carfagna’s restaurant, bar, or for any alcohol). All food prepared in the class must be consumed on the premises. Menu items are subject to change. If you have any food allergies, please note them on your enrollment form when you sign up for the class, since adjustments to the menu cannot be made during the day of the class. Our classes are designed to be educational, interactive, fun, and fill up quickly! Cancellation Policy We do not offer refunds for any canceled Cooking Classes. Classes may be canceled by calling 614-323-8609, up to 48 hours in advance of the class. Another class may be rescheduled within 30 days, or for next class availability. Same day cancellations or no shows are not refundable or rescheduled but may be transferred to a friend or family member to attend in your place.
