Join us for this fun and educational class where our pasta expert, Sue will instruct you in the techniques of making wonderful and easy homemade Pappardelle Pasta, which originated in the Tuscany region of Italy. First you will make a traditional Italian appetizer bruschetta. Then you will make the homemade pasta dough and cut it by hand before completing the dish with a luscious Wild Mushroom Ragu Sauce. You will also make a delicious and beautiful Italian Chopped Salad. We’ll then move to our lovely Vasto Room where you can share your culinary creations and enjoy dessert from Cafe Cece and a glass of our featured red or white wine.

Sue Fawcett’s love for cooking began at an early age. She developed her culinary skills as an owner at Berardi family restaurants on Lake Erie. Growing up in the restaurant business, food has always been center stage for her.
After a 30-year career in the restaurant business, Sue continued her studies into fresh pasta and Italian cuisine. Sue enjoys teaching the art of pasta making, flour and technique.

All of Carfagna’s Cooking Classes are hands-on and limited to a maximum of 12 adults. You will work with your friends or other guests in small groups sharing food prep, equipment, and workspace while creating a 3 or 4 course meal. The class instruction lasts for approximately 2-2 1/2 hours, followed by dinner in our lovely Vasto Room or Piazza, as a shared buffet of your menu creations. Plus, you will also be served a light appetizer, or dessert and glass of featured red or white wine. (Nonalcoholic options are also available). All food prepared in the class must be consumed on the premises. Menu items are subject to change. If you have any food allergies, please note them on your enrollment form when you sign up for the class. Classes may be canceled up to 24 hours in advance with no refunds, but future classes may be rescheduled within 30 days or for next class availability. Same day cancellations or no shows are not refundable or rescheduled. Guests each receive a Recipe Packet and a 10% off coupon for Carfagna’s Market (Not honored in Carfagna’s restaurant, bar, or for any alcohol).
Cancelation Policy – We do not offer refunds for any canceled Cooking Classes. Classes may be canceled by calling 614-323-8609, up to 48 hours in advance of the class. Another class may be rescheduled within 30 days, or for next class availability. Same day cancellations or no shows are not refundable or rescheduled, but may be transferred to a friend or family member to attend in your place.
