Warm & Wonderful Winter Soups – Italy’s Regional Favorites, 12-1-25

December 1 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$105.00

What’s more satisfying on a cold day than a bowl of steaming hot homemade soup? Especially when it’s a time-honored Italian favorite! Learn the techniques and simple culinary expertise to create these 3 traditional soup offerings from 3 of Italy’s historic regions. First, from Northern Italy, we’ll make a rich tortellini soup based from chicken stock with Italian sausage, tomatoes, white beans and spinach. Rome takes credit for being the home of traditional Minestrone soup. With its legions of hungry soldiers to feed, this poor man’s soup utilized local produce and reached new heights with the creative additions of meat and vegetables. Campania, in the Southwestern Italian Peninsula was the genesis for the very popular wedding soup, also known as Christmas soup in many regions of Italy. In addition to preparing these 3 hearty soups, you will also be making the perfect accompaniment to any soup – Italian Grilled cheese Pull apart Rolls. We’ll finish the class in our lovely Vasto Room with a sweet dessert and a glass of featured red or white wine!
