Think: “dinner & a show!” Participants will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy learning from a professional about the ingredients, pairings and unique recipes featured in each demonstration.

Class Description: Cooking with Mimma – Classics of Sardinia

  • To Start: Bruschetta with Artichokes, Peppers, Olives paired with Bollicine Prosecco
  • First Course: Risotto di Zucchine paired with Etna Bianco
  • Second Course: Pork Braciole paired with Primitivo
  • Dessert: Cafe e Biscotti paired with Liquore De’Olea

In this class, you will watch Italian Immigrant and chef, Mimma Bonderer, walk you through her home flavors of Sardinia. For appetizer, we will show you how the Italians in Sardinia make their brushetta while we toast with some Italian bubbly. In the first course, Mimma will be teaching the traditional methods to create the classic Sardinian dish “risotto con zucchine”. For our main entree, Mimma recreates a family recipe that’s been passed down for generations right before your eyes! You’ll learn and enjoy the true Sardinian way to make braciole, with pork loin pounded thin and braised in a homemade red sauce. Save room for dessert, because Mimma has a special treat: a unique Liquor from Sardinia called De’Olea. She pairs the after-dinner specialty with espresso and some biscotti that is near and dear to her heart.
